Jon C. Wiebe, President & CEO
Jon earned a B.A. degree from Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver, Denver, Colorado. He was a youth pastor for four years at Belleview Acres Mennonite Brethren Church before joining Andersen Consulting as a Staff Consultant and then Norwest Bank as a Financial Analyst. Jon has held a number of positions within the local church and with several nonprofits. He is a member of the Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church where he has served as Elder Chair, Coordinating Council Chair, Worship Leader and Moderator. Jon started with MB Foundation as Vice President in 1996 and was promoted to President on January 1, 1998, where he continues to serve. Jon loves the Lord and is passionate about helping individuals and ministries honor God with their finances.

Jon is married to Ellynne and they have two boys, Matthew and Joshua. Matthew is married to Clarissa and they live in Holland, MI and Joshua is married to Krista and they live in Wichita, KS. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and cattle ranching. Contact Jon.

Tracy Halydier, Chief Operations Officer
Tracy joined the MB Foundation staff in 2018. He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological with a masters in Christian Education and a bachelors from Howard Payne University in Mass Communications. Over the years Tracy worked with Consumer Credit Counseling as Director over Counseling and later as Vice President over Counseling, Marketing, Housing and Community Relations. While serving in this role he doubled the number of offices across Texas and into New Mexico and even helped open offices in the Country of Mexico. In addition, Tracy has served full-time on multiple church staffs as Church Administrator overseeing, HR, Staff, Accounting, Facilities, and multiple building projects. Prior to coming to MB Foundation he worked for several years as an administrator for a Civil Engineering firm, handling their HR, IT and accounting areas. 

Tracy is married to his wife Dara, and together they have 5 grown sons, 3 daughters-in-law and 8 grandchildren. In his spare time Tracy assists his wife with her non-profit ministry, Abiding Truth Ministry, and tries to build and grow relationships with his sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Nate Yoder, Chief Development Officer
Nate Yoder joined the MB Foundation staff in 2020. He holds a B.A. degree from Cedarville University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Parachurch Executive Leadership from Denver Seminary. He served in pastoral roles for 15 years, and four years as a regional leader with the Brethren in Christ denomination. Most recently, Nate served as the Executive Director of West Coast Mennonite Central Committee where he led 14 staff and had significant involvement in MCC’s Centennial Capital Campaign. He loves to see churches and ministries thrive as individuals generously support the work of Christ’s kingdom.

Nate is married to Grace and they have three children; Hannah, Kyle, and Kory. They attend the North Fresno Church where Nate serves on the Spiritual Ministries Committee. He enjoys family trips and hikes, traveling, and sports. Nate is also an avid cyclist who you can find most weekends climbing the rolling foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Contact Nate.

Bruce Jost, Vice President
Bruce is a "loan officer for Jesus" and has been with MBF since 2006. He currently manages our loan portfolio, organizes our annual certificate registration, and assists with communicating our message. He graduated from Tabor College in 1997 with a degree in Business Administration in Finance. His StrengthsFinder strengths are: Adaptability, Consistency, Includer, Connectedness, Arranger.

He is married to Kimberlee and they have two daughters; Ella and Talia. Bruce and his family attend Ebenfeld MB Church. Some of his favorites include: Jesus, cinnamon rolls, the Boston Celtics, Psalm 138:3, basketball, Kimberlee's cooking, Tabor College, and climbing mountains in Colorado. Contact Bruce. 

Joel D. Soo Hoo, Vice President and Treasurer
Joel received a B.A. in Business Administration from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, in 1999. After graduation, he worked at Midland National Bank in the operations department and as a Staff Accountant for Claassen Financial Services prior to joining the staff of MB Foundation and MBLF as a Staff Accountant in March of 2001. Joel was promoted to Treasurer of both organizations in August of 2003. He is a member of the Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church where he has served on the Board of Trustees, Audit Committee, as Treasurer, and a high school youth sponsor.

Joel is married to the beautiful Lori and they have two children, Claudia and Talon. Joel enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and sports.  Contact Joel.

Danielle Bartel, Executive Assistant
Danielle joined the MB Foundation staff in 2013. She graduated from Tabor College in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting & Finance. Prior to starting at MB Foundation, Danielle had experience in both banking and accounting.

She and her husband Eric are both Hillsboro natives and have three boys; twin boys Logan and Mason, and their younger brother, William. Danielle is a member at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro where she is involved in the children’s ministry. Danielle enjoys antiquing and attempting various DIY projects, but mostly enjoys spending time with her family outdoors. Contact Danielle.  

Samantha Cunningham, Senior Accountant
Samantha joined the MB Foundation team in November of 2017. She graduated from Tabor College in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance. She worked as a public accountant for three years doing busy season for both Audit and Tax. She also worked at Coleman as an accountant prior to joining the MBF team. She is a member of the Hillsboro Mennnonite Brethren Church. Samantha and her husband Cord have a daughter, Reese; a son, Lincoln; and a chocolate lab named Lucy. Samantha enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new things, and watching/attending sporting events. Contact Samantha.

Pam Franz, IT, Database, & Compliance Coordinator
Pam received a B.A. in math at Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas. She worked as an actuary at Mennonite Mutual Aid (now Everence) in Goshen, Indiana for 16 years, where she earned her A.S.A. (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation. In 2007, Pam and her family moved back “home” to Kansas. She worked in the admissions office at Tabor College for seven years with various responsibilities related to data conversion and database management.

Pam and her husband Scott have a son, Avery, and two daughters, Marah and Eva.  They attend Parkview MB church in Hillsboro where Pam enjoys helping direct Wednesday night children’s activities. Contact Pam.  

Brenda Hamm, Marketing Associate
Brenda joined MB Foundation in May 2019. She graduated from Tabor College with a degree in graphic design and business, and most recently was the campus visit coordinator for admissions at Tabor. She has also worked at Baker Bros. Printing and Hillsboro Community Hospital, as well as owned her own business, a Christian bookstore in downtown Hillsboro. Through her involvement in Hillsboro she has grown to value the community and its people. 

Brenda and her husband Rod are members of Hillsboro MB Church where Brenda has served on various boards and committees. They have two grown sons and one daughter-in-law. Brenda enjoys spending time with family, cooking and connecting with people through hospitality, and working on home projects with Rod. Contact Brenda.

Marlin Hiett, Church Relations Director
Marlin joined MB Foundation in 2020 after pastoring the Fairview MB Church in Oklahoma for eight years. He and his wife Michelle have pastored for more than 30 years in MB churches in Kansas, California and Oklahoma. Marlin has a heart for the Lord’s church and those who pastor. He is passionate about supplying these leaders with generosity and stewardship resources as they lead the Body of Christ.

The Hietts have four grown children, Matt, Micah, Marissa, and Mandi. Marlin & Michelle enjoy living in central California in part because they are near their grandchildren who live in the area. Another family commitment is to their daughter, son-in-law, and grandson who are working in Asia. Family time often includes swimming and eating outside. Marlin and his family go to the beach or the mountains to recharge their batteries and enjoy nature and the Lord’s creation. Marlin’s favorite verse in Galatians:  Let us not get tired of doing what is right for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing, if we don’t get discouraged and if we don’t give up.  Contact Marlin.

Roman Hofer, Account Administrator
Roman joined the MB Foundation team in August of 2018. He graduated from Tabor College in 2007 with a B.A. in Business Administration. Before joining MB Foundation, Roman worked at Tabor College in the business office as the Student Account Representative serving all student accounts and assisting in general accounting. Roman is married to his beautiful and talented wife, Rebecca. They have three children, Isaiah, Mirriam, and Hadassah. Roman enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle, hunting, and building projects. Contact Roman

Jeff Jorgenson, Director of Financial Services
Jeff joined the MB Foundation team in May of 2014 after 30 years in the investment industry while living in the Denver, Colorado area. He brings to the foundation a broad background in financial services from his years with Morgan Stanley, Charles Schwab and RBC Wealth Management.  Jeff supports the Foundation efforts in the fund management and estate gift administration areas.  Jeff currently holds NASD series 7, 63 and 9/10 licenses. Jeff is married to JoAnne and they have five children - Ryan, who graduated from Tabor College, Maren, Jeffrey and Annaliese. Their oldest son Jens is married and lives in Seattle with his wife Attali. Jeff’s interests include spending time with friends & family, attending his kids events, mountain biking and being involved in the local church. Contact Jeff.

Bruce Porter, Planned Giving Advisor
Bruce Joined the MB Foundation team in January 2019. He was first introduced to the MB family while attending Fresno Pacific University on a soccer scholarship where he earned a BA in Contemporary Christian Ministries in 1975. After graduation he served in youth ministry and earned his MA in Christian Education from the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in 1980. Since then, he has served as pastor in MB Churches in California and Kansas. He is passionate about helping people find practical ways to express their love for God and others through applying Biblical principles in life, especially in the area of stewardship. Bruce loves to express his love for God and his sense of humor through writing and illustrating stories for kids as well as writing songs and playing guitar (Yes, he was in a rock-and-roll band!). He and his wife Janice have two grown children and six grandchildren. They love cooking together, taking long walks, making music, traveling, and encouraging others. Contact Bruce.

Sherry Rempel, Administrative Assistant
Sherry joined MB Foundation in January of 2020.  She graduated from Tabor College with a B.A. in Mathematics, working as a teacher until her husband felt called to attend MBBS (currently FPU Seminary).  During seminary, Sherry worked as an administrative assistant to Harold Ens at MB Mission/Services (currently Multiply). Following seminary, she became a stay-at-home mother and pastor’s wife. Prior to starting at MB Foundation, Sherry worked as a Program Technician with the Farm Service Agency. 

Sherry is married to Darren and they have two adult daughters, Kaitlyn and Kylie. Darren is the lead pastor of Ebenfeld MB Church.  Together they have served MB churches in Kansas, California, South Dakota and Minnesota. Sherry enjoys time with family and friends, cooking/baking, hosting, and scrapbooking. Contact Sherry

Krista Richert, Administrative Assistant
Krista joined MB Foundation in May of 2016 after working as both an administrative and office assistant at various jobs. As Administrative Assistant she provides support to the Director of Operations and the Advisor team. Krista attended Tabor College after graduating from Colby High School. She values her Ebenfeld church family where she leads Wednesday night children's worship, helps out with the youth group, participates in the mentoring program and is a part of the worship team. Krista and her husband Pete have two daughters, Lindsey and Riley, and a son, Micah. Krista enjoys cooking and baking with her daughters, worshiping with music, reading, crocheting, and doing projects with her kids. Contact Krista.

Garvie Schmidt, Planned Giving Advisor
Garvie joined the MB Foundation team in November 2011. He received his BA degree from Tabor College and MDiv degree from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary. He served MB churches in a pastoral role for more than 25 years in Fairview, Oklahoma; Henderson, Nebraska and Enid, Oklahoma. Over the years he has served on various MB Conference national and district boards and been involved in various community boards and organizations. In 2013 he became certified as a Gift Planning Associate. He loves to work with people in all types of situations and help them experience their full potential in Christ. His experience and relationships with people in the MB family provides him the ability to guide people in discerning how they can best honor God with their resources and the type of legacy they can leave for the next generation.

Garvie and his wife Diane enjoy serving in various responsibilities at the Hillsboro MB Church. They have two grown children, Nathan and Heidi who is married to Collin Quiring. They have one grandchild, Bella Joy.  Garvie enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, woodworking and doing yard work.  Contact Garvie.


Andy Shewey, Planned Giving Advisor
Andy has been with MB Foundation since 2008 after working fifteen years as a Financial Advisor. He enjoys helping people complete their Will Planning and establish current and legacy gifts to the ministries God has called them to support. Andy earned BA degrees from Tabor College in Business Administration/Economics and in Contemporary Church Ministries - Human Services. He has served in a variety of roles in the local church, with Tabor College, and in the Hillsboro community.

Andy is married to Kerry. They have two sons, Clay and Grant. Andy and Kerry attend Parkview MB Church where they are involved in mentoring relationships and serving others. He is also the high jump coach for the Tabor College track team. Andy's other interests include his sons and their families, the Oklahoma City Thunder, golfing, chocolate ice cream, and a good quote.  Contact Andy.

Clay Shewey, Loan Associate
Clay joined MB Foundation in August of 2020. He graduated from Tabor College in 2013 with a B.A. in Business Administration and from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 with a M.Ed. in Adult & Higher Education. Prior to joining MB Foundation, Clay worked for the University of Oklahoma as a graduate assistant as well as the Oklahoma City Thunder in a sales role specializing in corporate and premium seating. He also previously served at MB Foundation in a part-time role during his time as a student at Tabor College. Clay is married to Mallory and they have three children; Barrett, Quinn and Jaxon. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, watching sporting events with friends and family, serving in various church roles, and assisting Mallory with a small business that she started out of their home. Heather Silhan, Client Account Administrator
Heather joined the MB Foundation staff in 2020. She graduated from Hutchinson Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree and went on to Friends University to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management and Leadership. Heather has worked in customer service, accounting, management, and most recently worked as the Business Office Manager for Parkside Homes. She has worked with donors over the years as well as families to honor their wishes and loved ones. She has served on the board of Home Communications, Inc and Christ’s Kids Childcare.

Heather and her husband Joe have four children, Paige, Emily, Michael, and Easton. She is a member of NewSpring Church and serves in the church’s youth ministry program. She has a heart for giving to others, whether it be time or money. Heather enjoys attending events for the kids, water skiing, and traveling with the family. Her favorite place to visit is the beach. Shawna Vogt, Account Administrator
Shawna graduated with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Tabor College. After graduation, she joined MB Foundation and has been assisting donors to accomplish their charitable giving objectives. She is a member of the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church where she has been an active volunteer on many committees, currently serving on the Church Social Committee. Shawna is married to her "high school sweetheart," Todd and together they have three great kids - Taylor, Braden, and Lauryn.

She loves athletics and enjoys supporting her kids in their sports. She also enjoys the thrill of the hunt when vintage junking, gardening, and traveling. Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Contact Shawna.
