Community Bible Church (CBC), a Mennonite Brethren church located in Olathe, KS, has been a long-time member of the Southern District.

Known for its values of outreach and evangelism, CBC offers a variety of ministries including small groups, family events, worship, and prayer. Their youth group also welcomes teens from the local MB Ethiopian church on Wednesday nights.

Over the years, CBC has partnered with MB Foundation’s loan program to finance several construction and expansion projects.

In response to continued growth, a new project in March, 2023 focused on maximizing existing basement space and adding more parking.

The project was completed in December, with the addition of a 6,000 square foot finished basement and 40 new parking spaces. The basement includes three classrooms, an office, restrooms, storage, a mechanical room, a kitchenette, and an elevator. This has already proven to be a valuable asset, supporting CBC’s growing ministries and enhancing their ability to accommodate growth and discipleship for both current and future members.

The new space has opened up wonderful ministry opportunities such as dedicated Sunday School classrooms, youth gatherings, space for worship events, accommodations for visiting groups, and other outreach events.
