Garvie Schmidt

Garvie joined the MB Foundation team in November 2011. He received his BA degree from Tabor College and MDiv degree from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary. He served MB churches in a pastoral role for more than 25 years in Fairview, Oklahoma; Henderson, Nebraska and Enid, Oklahoma. Over the years he has served on various MB Conference national and district boards and been involved in various community boards and organizations. In 2013 he became certified as a Gift Planning Associate. He loves to work with people in all types of situations and help them experience their full potential in Christ. His experience and relationships with people in the MB family provides him the ability to guide people in discerning how they can best honor God with their resources and the type of legacy they can leave for the next generation.
Garvie and his wife Diane enjoy serving in various responsibilities at the Hillsboro MB Church. They have two grown children, Nathan and Heidi who is married to Collin Quiring. They have two grandchildren, Bella Joy and Bristol. Garvie enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, woodworking and doing yard work. Contact Garvie.
