MB Foundation Helps Distribute Over $500,000 to Marion County Charities
Sixteen different charities in Marion County benefited from the generosity of 92 different donors in 2018. Working through MB Foundation, these donors made gifts varying from cash to IRAs to farm commodities totaling $504,657. The dollar amount is down from 2017’s donation total of $788,598 but the number of charities benefiting is double from the previous year. Sixteen different charities are the largest number of recipients in the last 5 years. Some of the charities included USD 410, Hillsboro Community Foundation, the Hillsboro Senior Center, Main Street Ministries, Families & Communities Together (FACT), Marion County Special Education Cooperative and Parkside Homes.
MB Foundation serves as a conduit for donors, helping facilitate the donors’ desire to maximize a gift to their favor charity. “We love being a part of this community and it’s always exciting to help donors give locally.
