Have you considered giving… together?
God designed us to live, serve, and give in community. The Bible encourages believers to give generously, trusting that together, our collective gifts can make a significant impact (2 Corinthians 8:1-5).
A Giving Circle provides an opportunity to give with others who are looking to learn and grow in generosity. Together, you will discover what it means to be a faithful steward of God’s resources. By pooling your resources into a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) with MB Foundation, your Giving Circle can make a collective impact, whether you give to a project or to ongoing support of a cause you care about.
To guide you on your generosity journey, we recommend the book Giving Together by John Rinehart. It’s a powerful guide designed to help your Giving Circle explore generosity in community. We will provide this resource for your group upon request by your Giving Circle Fund Advisor.*
Gather a group, give together, grow a fund, and make a grant!
The result? Impact and discipleship. By partnering together, your Giving Circle can advance God’s Kingdom in your community and beyond, while growing together in generosity. We look forward to hearing how God moves through your Giving Circle!
BONUS! If your group participates in the book study, MB Foundation will match the first $500 your group contributes.

1. GATHER
Prayerfully gather a group of people you would like to have in your journey of generosity and form a Giving Circle. Perhaps it would be your softball team, former college classmates, Sunday School class, or small group. Then, as a group, identify a need, set a goal, determine when and where you will meet (Zoom or in person), and determine who will be the group’s Fund Advisor—the one who will coordinate with MB Foundation on the Donor Advised Fund.
3. GROW
Once the account is established, members of the Giving Circle can add directly to the fund. With the contributions and interest earned, your account will grow towards your target amount for your specific ministry(ies).
2. GIVE
Fund your account with anything of value. What can you give? You have cash and you have stuff! MB Foundation can assist you in donating marketable assets such as farm commodities, real estate, stocks, equipment, or business interests. All gifts will be given directly to the DAF by individuals who will then receive charitable gift tax receipts from MB Foundation. If you have questions, contact us to learn how others have been able to contribute non-cash donations.
4. GRANT
When you have reached your goals, the Fund Advisor from your Giving Circle will contact MB Foundation with instructions on where to distribute funds from your DAF to eligible 501(c)(3) organization(s) consistent with the charitable purposes of MB Foundation.
