Financial Health Grants to End
In Fall 2020, MB Foundation began offering grants to pastors who went through the online Financial Health coursework taught by Brian Kluth of National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). Over the years we have been blessed to distribute 154 grants to 92 MB Pastors totaling a remarkable $180,500! Grants have been made for sabbaticals, toward pastor retirement, and as general income.
We have received excellent feedback from pastors as to the value of this training. “…After viewing the video on ‘How Christians Become Generous,’ we went through the material’s follow-up questions. The elders really had an excellent discussion,” says Nathan Ensz, Lead Pastor of Kingwood Bible Church. “My biggest takeaway was thinking through how we communicate that financial giving is an act of worship.” Moving forward, they plan to be more intentional in doing so.
Using Financial Health training, over 20 churches have been encouraged to foster legacy gifts within their congregation by utilizing the resources available through MB Foundation.
Grants for participation are ending. NAE has communicated to MB Foundation that the grant program will conclude on December 31, 2024. They are asking for all coursework to be completed by December 15th to allow time to process the final grants. The training will remain available but in a different form and without grants. Watch for it to be reintroduced at a later date.
Please contact Rick Eshbaugh at reshbaugh@mbfoundation.com immediately if you have questions or hope to participate before the deadline.
