MB Foundation is pleased to announce that for the first time in its history, current donors and potential donors now have the ability to conduct their giving activity online through the ministry’s website at www.mbfoundation2.staging.wpengine.com. This new service is available after a software conversion and implementation process that has been in the works for 24 months from idea to inception. “It takes resources in the form of time, staff, and money to offer a service like online giving for the very first time” said Jon C. Wiebe, President and CEO. “Our desire is to offer Biblical financial stewardship solutions and in today’s world that means offering convenience, security, and ease in giving. That’s why we have invested in making this service available to our donors and our community”.
Existing customers with MB Foundation can access their information at www.mbfoundation2.staging.wpengine.com/accountlogin and select View My Fund. The online service will allow existing donors to:
- View balances, activity and statements for their accounts.
- Add to an account with a debit card, credit card, or e-check.
- Make grants to charities.
- Customize a list of favorite charities.
- Request new charities to be added.
Non-customers can also use the online service by visiting www.mbfoundation2.staging.wpengine.com/donatenow and select Search Now to begin looking for the charity or cause they wish to give to.
The service is provided in partnership with Stellar Technology Solutions, LLC (STS), a software and technology service provider for non-profit organizations. STS is based in Stroudsburg, PA and has provided similar giving solutions to some of the largest organizations in North America.
While there are many online giving tools available to ministries, the service through MB Foundation is the first to be specifically designed for the needs of the Mennonite Brethren community. Wiebe said, “Every online payment provider has fees to make the service work. We are no different. The added benefit with our service is the fees further ministry through MB Foundation and the national church family”. He continued, “Another benefit is our family-like knowledge of the donor base, of the ministries, and the charities that we as Mennonite Brethren hold dear. We believe that makes for a stronger partnership for the Kingdom of Christ”.
